357 Days of Messages

I have been inspired by a girl, Lauren, to see the Lord's message in everything.  If you're on Instagram look her up: laurenalexis19.  I don't have any other links to her.  Her family is so inspiring to me DAILY!  Her mom & dad are my fb friends, Stephanie Holden [has a great blog & Etsy shop you MUST check out] & Nick Holden [he's a Pastor & it's clear where Lauren learned to find God in the little things]...friend them, you won't regret it!!

But now, let's focus on what I'm going to do EVERY DAY this year.  I'm going to find the message, the importance, the reason to be grateful in at least one "small" thing a day.  I can do the big things, but it's really the small things that have the largest impact.  These posts will be either on my instagram [just_misty], my facebook or on here.  Keep your eyes peeled!!!

Day 1:

This is a candle-holder next to my mirror in the living room.  As you can see there is no candle as there should be.  Why?  Because I haven't bought one.  I always say I need to but I don't make it a priority.  Unfortunately, I feel that this describes my relationship with Jesus lately.  I have the want, the ability, the tools, the resources, THE NEED to get a candle to burn there [to light a fire in my relationship], but I haven't made it [Him] a priority.  I've been too busy, too stressed, too preoccupied.  If I keep this up I'll eventually just be TOO LATE.

So now I fix this.  I'm not only going to get the candle for this holder but one for the twin holder on the other side of the mirror.  I'm going to light them & I'm going to make my God my priority!  Then I'm going to make sure to use the mirror to show that I not only live for the Lord in me but on the outside as well.  I'm going to model walking with the Lord to my children.  & I'm goig to try to help them in their journey to light their fire for God.

I sure hope I get better at this!
